خشب الزان، وهو خشب صلب جدًا ذو حبيبات مستقيمة، يُستخدم غالبًا في صناعة الأثاث والخزائن وأدوات الطهي ومقابض الأدوات والخشب الرقائقي والمعدات الرياضية. حتى الآلات الموسيقية: يُستخدم في صناعة قوالب دبابيس البيانو والطبول، ويحمل خشب الزان نغمةً تجمع بين خشب القيقب والبتولا.
